Trenchless Sewer Lateral Installation in Utah
New and replacement sewer lateral boring for projects where grade, depth, and finished surfaces require careful planning.
Install a new route below the surface.
Chamba Trenchless installs new and replacement sewer laterals using horizontal directional drilling. Boring can be a practical approach when an existing line has failed or collapsed, or when a continuous trench would disturb driveways, pavement, or landscaping. We assess the site to determine whether a new bore is appropriate.
Grade and access guide the approach.
Sewer installations require careful consideration of the available slope and connection depth. Our equipment launches from inside a pit and can work from depth without a long surface setback. We can survey available slope or grade before a project and review access and utility conflicts as part of planning the bore.
Experience with real Utah sewer projects.
Our work includes a commercial crossing beneath Washington Blvd. in Ogden, completed in a single overnight closure, and a residential lateral in Salt Lake City involving a deep vault connection and groundwater management. Explore the project write-ups below for the installation scope and job-site photos.
Start with the information you have.
Share the site location, approximate lateral length, connection depths or available grade, and whether the work is a new service or replacement. Include any plans and information about the existing line. Bore suitability depends on site conditions, grade requirements, utility conflicts, and access.

Can trenchless drilling replace a failed sewer lateral?
We provide replacement sewer lateral boring, including situations involving failed or collapsed existing pipe. A site review is needed to determine whether the route, grade, connection points, and access support a new directional bore.
Talk through your installation.
Based in Layton, we serve contractors and utility projects in Ogden, Salt Lake City, Davis County, Weber County, and other Wasatch Front communities. Projects elsewhere in Utah are considered individually.
